MINUTES OF MEETING
Carlucci’s Waterfront

President Rick Sapio called the meeting to order at 7:00 PM. 12 members were present. Rick announced that there was no guest speaker tonight; however, we would have our normal business meeting,

BUSINESS MEETING
President Rick convened the Association for the regular business transactions.

MINUTES OF PRIOR MEETING
President Rick announced that the Minutes for the last meeting held on February 10, 2011 have been posted on the web site for review. There were no additions or corrections from the membership. It was then moved, seconded, and approved by voice-vote.

TREASURER’S REPORT
Pete Burgess, Treasurer, was absent and had not submitted a financial report.

DIRECTOR’S REPORT- NJSPLS
Chip Adamson submitted a preliminary written report (dated March 8, 2011) which will be replaced later by the official NJSPLS meeting minutes. He spoke to the report and the meeting he attended.

OLD BUSINESS
Bill Haggerty reported that the expanded web-site is working very well. He encouraged all members to access the site and check it out. So far he has had only good comments.

NEW BUSINESS
It was moved, seconded, and approved that the SAWJ contribute $200 for the NJIT students who are going to present their project at a National Competition in Las Vegas, Nevada. The funds should be withdrawn from the Scholarship Fund. Contact Chip Adamson for whom and where to mail the check.

Our 150 year anniversary is coming. It was suggested that a suitable event should be held. A few off the cuff thoughts were mentioned, and include the following:
Battleship New Jersey with a dinner on board
Proprietors’ Office with dinner at a nearby restaurant in Burlington.
Camden River Sharks baseball game, with a picnic barbeque.

ANNOUNCEMENTS
It was announced that Fred Czepiga and Chip Adamson were recently elected to the honorary title of Fellow Member of NJSPLS. Our hearty congratulations are extended to each recipient.

Charles Walton won the door prize drawing and contributed his winnings to the Scholarship Fund.

President Rick said that our next meeting will be on Thursday, April 14, 2011 at Carlucci’s.

At 8:30 PM. it was moved to adjourn the meeting; seconded, and approved by voice vote.
