September Meeting Minutes

President Bill Haggerty called the meeting to order at 7:10 PM. There were 15 members present.

GUEST SPEAKERS
President Bill introduced our guest speaker, Jerry Jones of Western Technologies Group, LLC. His topic was “Spatial Asset Management System-SAMS”. He spoke about how the system works to track completed property surveys and may be used to market future survey needs. They work in the entire State of New Jersey. Surveys are indicated on the map by an X. Title Companies use these maps to identify the Surveyor who completed the survey of that parcel. Map layers are used to identify different information, such as Tax Maps or Wetlands. There are fees for surveyors to participate and place their surveys on the system. Jerry said that their data goes back about 10 years, has about 3000 users, and 250 Surveyors participating. He then opened the floor to questions and comments.
.At 7:45 PM, President Bill thanked Mr. Jones for a very educational and interesting presentation. He then took a recess for dinner service.

At 8:05 PM President Bill re-convened the business meeting
